Triple Championship for the Tiptop Flock as Tiptop Charlie takes the crown at RWAS

Tiptop Charlie - Overall Champion Irthing Valley Elderflower - Reserve Overall Champion

Despite the record breaking heatwave, exhibitors battled through high temperatures to give visitors to the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show a brilliant showcase of Dutch Spotted Sheep.

With Paul Slater at the helm the judging was in good hands and in the end, it was Tiptop Charlie who was crowned Overall Breed Champion. Charlie bred the RHS & GYS Champion, Tiptop Diana and is himself sired by Lochlad Braveheart and is out of an imported ewe, IM0041.

Reserve Breed Champion was the Female Champion and first prize yearling ewe and older, Irthing Valley Elderflower, exhibited by H Jewitt, Sunnybank. Bred by N Brown, Elderflower is sired by Westbroad B Explorer II and is out of an Imported ewe, IM0254.

Reserve Male Champion was awarded to first prize ram lamb, Daron Fendt. Fendt is sired by Tiptop dollar and his dam is Speyside Demi.

Reserve Female Champion was given to S & S Gibbons and their second prize yearling ewe, Whatmore EllieMae. EllieMae is from an imported ewe, IM10223 and is sired by the admired Lochlad Dictator.

Winning the ewe lamb class was Tiptop Fine N Dandy. Bred by Ali Jackson, this flashy ewe lamb is sired by Tiptop Ed. Her mother is Import Bellino (IM1283).

The Champion duo of Tiptop Charlie and Irthing Valley Elderflower went on to take the Interbreed Pairs Championship and Janet & Jonathan Corbetts 1^st Prize group of 3 received Reserve Interbreed Group of 3.
