Females lead the way at J36
Ewe lambs were in demand at J36 Kendal especially for Chloe Harding’s Dustland Flock, when she sold her 1st prize, Female and Reserve Champion lamb for 1800gns to the day’s judge, Drew Guthrie, Myreside flock based near Selkirk. Dustland Jumble was a naturally reared triplet, sired by the imported ram ‘Vermeer’.
Chloe continued her sale success of ewe lambs with Dustland Juniper, which was placed 2nd in the show, and sold for 1300gns to K Dale, Turndale Flock, Staffordshire.
The Stead family of the Middlemoor flock based near Richmond, North Yorkshire enjoyed another good day’s trading at J36 when they sold their ewe lamb, Middlemoor Janie to local breeder Jack Dixon for his Grayrigg flock for 1200gns. Next up, Middlemoor Juniper, a Cnwch Hawaii 5-Oh daughter, then sold for 1000gns to R Ridley to join his Pillimore flock.
