The first Society spring sale was held at Swatragh Market on Thursday 9th April, with only a few lots put forward.
At this it was Craigdoo who came out on top with one of their recipient ewes and ewe lamb, Craigdoo Jasmine, making 1,620gns to Chloe McClafferty. Jasmine’s mother was 1st place ewe lamb last year at the National Show and 2nd place ewe lamb at last years Balmoral Show.
The second highest price was also achieved by Craigdoo, where they sold a ram and ewe lamb from Craigdoo Heart Throb who was sold at the Big Bang Sale for 4,000gns and Kirkinriola I’m the Man, bought by Craigdoo and Derg last year at the Society Export Sale. The pair were bought for 1,450gns by Phil Brown of Cannonhall.
The third top price of the evening was for a recipient ewe with a ram and ewe lamb put forward by Emma Allen, Diamond. These lambs from Diamond Fairfax and Mourneview Ignition made 950gns to David Jackson.
