Binnian Brilliance – Swatragh 19th December

The last Society sale of 2025 was held on Friday 19^th December at Swatragh Livestock Market, with fewer entries it still lined up to be a great show and sale.

It was Adrian Trainor who came out on top, placing both first and second in the ewe lamb class and going on to be Champion with Lot number 11, under the watchful eye of judge Jack King, Kirkinriola. Binnians ewe lamb also topped the sale at 950gns – bought by an undisclosed buyer. Binnian Idol, is a January ewe lamb sired by Derg Humbug and from McDermotts Elle.

The second place ewe lamb, Binnian Imprints was also sired by Derg Humbug but her mother is Ballintur Faith, this lamb also had a lot of interest and went for the second top price of the evening at 580gns to Mark Anderson.

In the shearling ewe class, Gareth Edgar came out on top with Doonans Honey Bun ET, a ewe bred by Liam Lynn. She also took the reserve champion spot at the show. Honey Bun is daughter of Diamond Gigi and the renowned Carlaustan Extrovert.
